Jehovah Jireh; our provider, i ask that you provide a roof over the heads of as many who do not have, food on their tables, shoes on their feet and a good place to sleep.
There is nothing too difficult for you, this is why we are asking these through Christ our Lord, Amen

Jesus never promised a life without sorrow!
Eccl.3:1ff wasn’t written in error when it stated times and seasons as its major themes.
Yes, for His thoughts for us are of good to give us an expected end and His urging us to rejoice at all times doesnt mean there won’t be a time of sadness.
This rejoicing at all times could also be a way of saying BE STRONG and NEVER GIVE UP for I the Lord, I’m capable!
What do you do when this great assurance is give you even in that awkward situation?……you smile and rejoice hoping that it is settled.
So, “it is very possible for one to be joyful in a sad time”!

Like you already stated “Waiting doesn’t mean doing nothing”!
It could mean to increase your prayer life, increase your faith in Him, start thinking positvely if you weren’t, amending and changing some lifestyles that aren’t appealing before Him, abstaing from sin or possibly, doing the right things.
May God help us to patiently and genuinely wait on Him for the supply of all our heart desires without any attempt of helping or assuming His role(s) in Jesus name, Amen!
