I agree get to know each other first.
Although, sometimes a brother or sister going to a leader is the first step, a sign of respect. The leader knowing both of them can agree or disagree. If they think it’s a good fit on the surface, you can start dating to get to know each other outside the church. My church advices two years after you show interest to get to know each other, get counseling before actual marriage.
Btw. Arranged marriages in some cultures are the longest lasting marriages.?

Wholeheartedly Agree. ??? Christ is the metaphor for almost all the virtues. He is our righteousness, our light, and our salvation. In him all things are made new and wisdom abounds.
