Winning this $500 prize will be useful for me in two ways.
As a videographer and photographer who has special affinity for women’s issues, I need a professional camera and accessories to keep capturing women and documenting their contributions to societies to bridge the gender gap online. This equipment would also help set me up as a professional photographer that will earn me a livelihood especially in this difficult time of my life where I’m swamped in heavy hospital bills as a result of my mom’s illness in Esiama in the Western Region of Ghana. She has been sick for months now and being the only child in the capital, I have no option than to sort out a chunk of the medical bills that keeps compounding
