Are we still under the obligation of tithing as Christians?

In my humble opinion, we are all under obligation to give to the church to help people. if a church is truly a place of refuge and promotes the Word, then 10% is the least we can do… Paul constantly asked us to give all through the New Testament… let’s not debate the semantics and let’s be generous…
Jesus commended the two mites given by the widow because of the heart behind the gift and overall value to her.
