What will you choose, a happy family without money or money without a happy fami
There’s a Chinese saying: 贫贱夫妻百事哀。
Roughly translated to “Everything is depressing if you’re poor”.
Every family has problems. And poverty makes every problem all the more difficult to solve. It is true that money can’t buy happiness, but money can buy you options. The more options you have, the more likely you find that one option that makes you happy.
A family below poverty line, scrap every little bit money to just make ends meet, that family is not going to be a very happy family. Sure, you might have happy moments. But your life will be plagued by one unsolvable problem after another.
Nobody grew up without some scars. We all experience that heartbreak of feeling all alone, being ignored, and deeply hurt by the people we love most. I’d rather grew up in a dysfunctional family with a shit ton of money. Sure I might end up with plenty of unfinished childhood issues, but at least I have money to get lifetime therapy.
