2021 Is Your Year- Here Are 2 Simple Reasons Why:

Every day comes with new mercies

“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness”

Lamentations 3:22

If you have a tendency to beat yourself up over your mistakes and sins and dwell on them for days on end, this is your reminder that the son of God did not come into the world to condemn, but that through him all men might be forgiven and ultimately saved.

Every morning of 2021, you have a gift of new mercies and all you need to do is to accept it. Believe it or not, your dwelling in the past brings the trinity no joy. So, challenge yourself this year to accept this gift and make it your year.

God has your welfare at heart

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope”

Jeremiah 29:11

Because we live in a fallen world, I can’t promise you that this year is going to be free of its fair share of disappointments. You may have an expectation that may go unmet or might be delayed in its fulfillment. This might leave you struggling to accept that God truly loves you.

However, there is assurance that God is Good and so are his plans for us. If things do not come to pass or delays, trust that he knows best and “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are his ways higher than your ways and his thoughts than your thoughts.”

This year, Resolve through the power of the Holy Spirit that feelings of hopelessness, bitterness and anger towards man and God will be far from you because you serve a good God, with Good plans.

“For if by the trespass of one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one, man. Jesus Christ.

Romans 5:17

In 2021, whatever the enemy weaponizes against the people of God, be assured that you are allowed to take it one day at a time by focusing on  the mercies of God each day.

God’s mercy is reflected on the cross of Christ and it is by his mercies that we are not consumed. You are dearly loved and completely forgiven. Rise up from the ashes of life and the crippling nature of hopelessness. Pray for God’s mercy and share with a hurting world for “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy”

Wield these two simple truths in your hands and make this year, your year!!!

A Prayer for 2021

Our most gracious Father, we are assured of your steadfast love and your plans to give us a hope and a future. We trust you with our lives this year and we know that all things will work together for our good.

Strengthen us and let your Holy Spirit remind us of these truths when the storms of life begin to rage in Jesus name, Amen.

Happy New Year!
